Our DE&I aspiration: We live a culture where everyone is valued and enabled to be the best version of themselves – For Better.
At Bayer, we are continuously in pursuit of better: better outcomes for patients, better sustainable practices for farmers, and better products for consumers. To be successful, we must live a culture that isn’t just accepting of all its people, but intentionally embraces and celebrates the diverse and unique experiences, backgrounds, perspectives, and knowledge of our team to create impact in the communities we serve and the world.
What does Diversity, Equity & Inclusion mean at Bayer?
Collection of similarities and differences that we each have based on innate individual characteristics, lived experiences, and learned customs, traditions, and other cultural influences.
Intentional and continuous efforts to create an accessible environment where people feel they belong and are enabled to be the best version of themselves, because their uniqueness is valued, talent recognized, and voices heard.
Eliminating barriers so that people are treated based on their unique needs, circumstances and with consideration of historical and systemic inequities. It ensures that everyone has access to the same opportunities and requires consistent enhancement and re-evaluation of policies, practices, attitudes, and cultural messages to create and reinforce fair outcomes.
Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
BLEND, Bayer’s Business Resource Group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) individuals and their allies, is one of the largest and oldest BRGs at Bayer. Its members stand up for respect and equal rights within and outside the company, as here at the Christopher Street Day in Cologne.
BRGs are voluntary, company sponsored groups of employees who work together to promote cultural diversity, awareness and DE&I education. You can participate in on the job leadership development experiences at the site, national and global level by joining a BRG. The following company sponsored BRGs have a global footprint with chapters in different continents. Additional BRGs may be available in your country:
